This image started to emerge as I worked on the canvas that I featured in my last posting.
It is the ferry boats spoken of in the Buddhist tale of the difference between Sansara and Nirvana.
In the image the ferries silently float above the sea of space carrying their cargo of souls.
The approach technically started with a light blue wash. Then a deep red/purple glaze was added. That was followed by glazes of panes grey with shades of green and blue. The light areas are built up in various white and yellow glazes.
